Public Notice: Salt Lake County Public Works is celebrating National Public
Works Week (NPWW). We’re inviting the public to join us in this celebration.
NPWW was instituted to educate the public about the importance of public works
in their communities. This year NPWW will be held the week of May 17th. Events include the fourth
annual Snow Plow Painting contest and an open house of Public Works on May 18th
from 9:00 am to 6:30 p.m. and May 19th from 9:00 am to 7:00 p.m. The public will
have a chance to meet the people who serve in their communities, see the
equipment up close that we use, learn about the County weed program, sanitation
programs, slow the flow, bee keeping, traffic lights, traffic signs, animal
control, road painting and much more. County employees will have small
presentations of what they do and/or be available to answer questions. We are located at 7125 S 600 W Midvale (Enter from 700 W at 6960 S, signs will
be posted). For more information please contact our Operations Division at

The White City Logo has been chosen and was submitted by Josh Awtry. He
wrote "Although the symbolism is pretty shallow, I'll note it here anyway.
The mountain is actually a woodcut-style version of Lone Peak, and the dark
trees represent the valley created by Dimple Dell."
